Isaiah 43:19 and many other Bible verses tell us that God is always doing something new. From the very first words of Scripture, we know God as creative. Sometimes, creativity means taking something old and sharing it in a new way. The message of Christmas — the Good News of Great Joy that Jesus has been born to save all people! — is not new, but it must be told in new ways in order to be received and embraced by each new generation. The video at the link below is truly clever! (The only thing I would change is the soundtrack, perhaps to a lively version of “Joy to the World.”)

Enjoy! And remember — it’s still Christmas, according to the Church-Year calendar!
MERRY CHRISTMAS! ANDHAPPY NEW YEAR!

Sorry for the short notice on this first one, but if you can fit it in, you won’t regret it!

For six months now, I’ve been taking an online course called “Social Networking with Sabrina Gibson.” Sabrina has over 15 years’ experience in the internet field and is widely considered an expert in up-t0-the-minute information and strategies to help business-people use social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, blogging, etc.) to get the word out about what they have to offer to others.

Today (June 9) from 12:30–2:00 p.m. (PDT), Sabrina is offering a FREE webinar on getting the most out of a Facebook Page for the sake of your business. You can still register this morning at: How to Use Facebook for Your Business.

If you can’t make this event, I strongly urge you to try to work the following two into your schedule:

Sabrina is dynamic and fun, and has a TON of information to share! I’ve had a blast learning from her, and I’m certain you will too! (Even if you don’t have a business to market, you might still want to check these out for fun. Facebook Pages can be used for non-business purposes as well; LinkedIn is intended for professionals of any sort, whether you work for someone else or for yourself; and blogging… well, blogging is just plain fun!)

TIME TO CELEBRATE! It’s NATIONAL GRAMMAR DAY! What do you plan to do to make it special?!

If you see this blog in time, you may want to spend part of the day, beginning at 9:10 a.m. PST, listening to Mignon  Fogarty, a.k.a Grammar Girl, on the Christopher Gabriel Program on 970 WDAY-AM radio (or by streaming audio online). I assume it will also be available as an archive after the fact; check back here in a few hours — I’ll let you know and provide a link if it is.) I don’t know much more about it — I just had the good fortune to catch Mignon’s post in my News Feed on Facebook — but you can be sure I’ll be there (listening from my home office) with bells on!

I’ve written about the Grammar Girl website before on this blog. I highly recommend it!

Celebrate National Grammar Day! And don’t forget to hug your resident grammarian today!
