Monday Inspiration!

The image of grace under pressure, perseverance and hard work, and the courage to follow one’s dreams.

A dear friend sent me these quotes/quips (and more) some time ago. Thought I’d pass them on to you for a bit of Monday inspiration! Enjoy!

  • If you want your dreams to come true, you mustn’t oversleep.
  • If you lack the courage to start, you have already finished.
  • One thing you can’t recycle is wasted time.
  • Ideas won’t work unless YOU do.
  • The pursuit of happiness is the chase of a lifetime!  It is never too late to become what you might have been.

When I was waffling recently about whether to try to write a book, seeing as how difficult the publishing industry is and how much competition there already is in print, an Internet fellow-writer friend of mine wrote and said, “The only way to be sure you never get your book published is to not write it.” It was a major “aha!” moment of clarity for me! This list reminded me of her line.

You are absolutely right, Shannon! Nowadays the publishing field is open to any and all! Big sales may not be guaranteed (though not out of the realm of possibility either), but for many writers, the joy comes in seeing their words in print and sharing them with friends and family much more than in realizing huge profits or fame.
