Heidi Mann feels called to use her God-given exper­tise at good writ­ing to help peo­ple share their ideas artic­u­lately and present them­selves pro­fes­sion­ally and cred­i­bly. Her com­pany, Final Touch Proof­read­ing & Edit­ing, was born of the joy Heidi finds in mak­ing any­thing from brief cor­re­spon­dence to full-length books truly shine. While fanat­i­cal about good writ­ing, Heidi exhibits a gen­tle grace with each writer.

Heidi has copy­edited arti­cles, news­pa­per columns, books (fic­tion, non­fic­tion; for all ages), Bible stud­ies, cor­re­spon­dence, and web con­tent to assist writ­ers in com­mu­ni­cat­ing their mes­sages as clearly as pos­si­ble. Authors bring Heidi their phe­nom­e­nal con­tent and vary­ing lev­els of gram­mat­i­cal knowl­edge; she works closely with them so they can feel proud about their final product.

Heidi served as a Lutheran pas­tor for almost 14 years before start­ing her own copy­edit­ing com­pany. In parish min­istry, she used and fur­ther devel­oped her nat­ural gifts for writ­ten and oral com­mu­ni­ca­tion, and for grace-filled inter­per­sonal rela­tion­ships. Her core belief that min­istry can be accom­plished by any­one who uses their abil­i­ties to serve oth­ers led to her pro­fes­sional tran­si­tion. Call­ing her­self a pro­gres­sive Chris­t­ian, Heidi holds a spe­cial place in her heart for those whose writ­ing taps into the realm of spir­i­tual growth and for the mar­gin­al­ized in society.

Final Touch Proof­read­ing & Edit­ing offers indi­vid­u­al­ized care for writer and writ­ten word alike. Heidi loves read­ing and learn­ing from the vari­ety of writ­ing shared with her. She reviews writ­ing and sug­gests alter­ations at what­ever level an author desires—basic proof­read­ing, copy­edit­ing, sub­stan­tive editing—valuing your work as she would her own.

The first pub­lic recog­ni­tion Heidi received for her written-language skills was exemp­tion from 8^th-grade Gram­mar. Her excel­lent writ­ing con­tributed to her role as Vale­dic­to­rian of her high school class, her grad­u­a­tion summa cum laude from col­lege, and hun­dreds of well-received ser­mons and church-newsletter arti­cles.
